New Traffic Signal Installed at Concord Avenue and Fawcett Street
A new traffic signal was installed the week of May 6 at the intersection of Concord Ave and Fawcett St. The new signal was funded with private developer mitigation funds from new buildings nearby within the Alewife Quadrangle. The new signal replaces the push-button-activated flashing crosswalk lights for crossing Concord Ave and the stop control on Fawcett St. This will better handle additional volumes of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers associated with current and future development within the Quadrangle and addresses key components of the Mobility Goals of the 2019 Alewife District Plan.
