New Lease Rent Relief Grant for Cambridge Small Business Provides Up to $25,000 in COVID Recovery Assistance

New Cambridge small businesses are eligible for a new COVID-19 Rent Relief Recovery grant up to $25,000 to help offset the first year of commercial rent costs. This program is being funded with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. 

Want help with commercial rent costs in Cambridge? The City of Cambridge’s New Lease Rent Relief Grant for small business offers up to $25,000 to new or expanding businesses that are helping to revitalize commercial districts hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. If you're a local, non-chain business with 50 or fewer employees and have a new multi-year lease signed on or after January 1, 2023, you may be eligible.

Applications open on Friday, May 17, 2024. The deadline is June 17, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. for the first round of the New Lease Rent Relief Grant.
