1995 Annual Crime Report
Please note that the Cambridge Police Department did not have a web site in 1995, and that the following information was entered on this site in 1999. Therefore, information from the 1995 Annual Crime Report (below) is less extensive than information given on this site from later crime reports:
| Report Section | Synopsis | |
| Message from Acting Commissioner Harold F. Murphy | In 1995, the
Serious Crime Index total was at its lowest point since the Eisenhower
presidency. To hold that tide in check will take a partnership comprised
of not just the police and citizens, but also every city agency, the
business community, public service providers, and church leaders. The goal
of the Annual Report is to provide this partnership with the knowledge to
ensure the desired quality of life in all the neighborhoods of the city.
The 1995 Annual Report is the first report with Business District Profiles. |
