The Recycling Advisory
Committee (RAC) was established in the City's
Mandatory Recycling Ordinance, Section 8.24.070-G,
passed in March 1991. The RAC provides advice,
assistance and recommendations regarding the City's
recycling, toxics reduction and waste prevention
programs as well as the implementation of strategies
to meet the goals in the City's Climate Protection
Plan and the Massachusetts Solid Waste Master
Plan.

Typically held the second Thursday of each month,
except July and August. Usually at 8am in the
Sophie room in City Hall (behind the elevator
on the 2nd floor).
All meetings are open to the public. If you
are planning to attend an upcoming meeting and
have not attended one in the past, please inform
