IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The City of Cambridge recently mailed to taxpayers a brochure entitled '' City of Cambridge FY2010 Property Tax Exemption and Tax Deferral Information. Applications for the residential exemption and other statutory exemptions are due no later than January 11, 2010.

First time applicants for the Tax Deferral (Clause 41A) will be required to complete and submit both the Tax Deferral Application and the Tax Deferral and Recovery Agreement with any additional required documentation.   If the applicant desires to file for tax deferral in future years, and the original deferral remains outstanding, he/she will only be required to file the Tax Deferral Application.
