Summer in the City 2010
Join the Cambridge Arts Council for the annual Summer in the City. Each summer Cambridge parks come alive with music, dance, storytellers, theatrical performances, puppetry, arts & crafts, movies and more! The City of Cambridge offers a wide array of FREE, multicultural, interactive arts programs, performances, and activities both day and night for children, families, and the entire community.

Eric Royer Band
Eric Royer's One Man Band performs authentic bluegrass and old-time country music. The "band" creates a unique sound using a five-string banjo (Scruggs and clawhammer), dobro, harmonica, vocals, kazoo, and the one-of-a-kind foot controlled "Guitar Machine," all played at the same time. www.guitarmachine.com/index.phtml

 Followed by a free family-friendly screening of a moive about a rat with culinary aspirations.

Storytelling
Li Min Mo is a professional storyteller and artist who was born in China and lived in many parts of the world, before settling in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Li Min performs stories from her own life growing up as a special-needs pupil and immigrating to America at age 13 in the sixties. In addition to telling her own life tales, she sprinkles in old Chinese songs, poetry recitation and tales from Asian folklore. www.liminmo.com

StoryWalk Cambridge - Opening Celebration
After the show, join us for the StoryWalk, a scavenger hunt walk along Cambridge Street to find pages from children's books posted in storefront windows. At the end of the walk at 12 Noon, in Vellucci Plaza in Inman Square the party continues with free books, snacks, giveaways, games, arts & crafts and more!
