Cambridge Conservation Commission - Community Garden Program

Community Gardens

There are fourteen community gardens located throughout the City, serving as areas of beautification, vegetable production, and meeting places. The gardens are divided into plots and shared by groups of residents. The Cambridge Conservation Commission encourages the formation and continuance of the community gardens. The only garden currently sponsored entirely by the Commission is located in the Don "Mac" McMath Community Park. Residents interested in participating in the community gardens program are encouraged to contact the Commission to obtain further information, including a list of individual garden coordinators and a map of garden locations.

For further information on community gardening, visit the American Community Gardens Association at http://www.communitygardens.org and Garden Futures at http://www.gardenfutures.org
