NEW CONNECTIONS TO THE CHARLES
Meet: North Station/Subway Head House
Receive the newest walking map.

Where the Charles River meets the sea and land, rail bridges span the water and industry once crowded the riverbanks, now exists a new park and new connections to transit and between neighborhoods now exist. At the heart of the park is the stunning North Bank Bridge ped/bike bridge, opened in 2012, creating an essential link in riverfront pathways. The bridge curves under the Zakim Bridge and over the MBTA commuter rail tracks. WalkBoston took the lead in bringing people together to ensure its completion.

Walk with us from North Station to Charlestown and Cambridge over the dam and locks separating the Charles River from the Harbor, to the hill where Paul Revere waited for a signal, past 21st-century sculpture and skatepark, over the North Bank Bridge, the rail tracks and Millers’ River, and into Cambridge’s sparkling North Point district.
