NEEDS ASSESSMENT for AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACTIVITIES funded by CDBG and HOME

The Community Development Department will hold a public hearing in preparation for the City's Five Year Consolidated Plan for the utilization of Federal Funding for anticipated activities that primarily benefit low and moderate income residents.  This requirement of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) combines the funding applications for the Community Development Block Grant Program and the HOME Program.

The purpose of the hearing is to solicit public comments on community development needs as they relate to low and moderate income Cambridge residents in the area of affordable housing.  The Five Year Consolidated Plan is used to identify present and anticipated needs over the five year period beginning July 1, 2015 and ending June 30, 2020.  The Plan will enumerate resources, opportunities and community development needs as they relate to the goals established by the City of Cambridge City Council.

ALL INTERESTED PARTIES INCLUDING RESIDENTS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND

Written comments will also be accepted in person at the hearing, by email, or to the mailing address below
