The City of Cambridge is proud to invite you to dozens of FREE bicycle activities throughout May to thank you for supporting sustainable transportation in our community.  

Walk/Ride Day Corporate Challenge Kick-off

  • Walk or ride to school and get great prizes!

On-Bicycle Refresher Course

  • Saturday, May 14, 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
  • RSVP to jlawrence@cambridgema.gov required
  • Location sent upon registration
  • This class is an on-bicycle course, outside, rain or shine. 
  • Please bring your own bicycle in working order. 
  • You must know how to ride a bicycle.

Charles River TMA Bicycle Breakfast

  • Stop by on your commute in and grab some tasty breakfast and hot coffee!

City of Cambridge Employee Bicycle Tune-ups

  • Harvard University staff and students
  • Stop by on your way into school and grab some tasty breakfast and hot coffee!

  • Wednesday, May 18, 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
  • 449 Broadway, outside
  • City of Cambridge employees should reserve their spot by emailing jlawrence@cambridgema.gov.
  • Community members drop in and get a quick 10 minute safety tune-up (this is not a full tune-up, but will adjust brakes, fill tires, and make sure your chain is ready to go!). First-come, first-served.

Cambridge Bicycle Ride

  • Saturday, May 21, 10:00 A.M
  • Cambridge Public Library, 449 Broadway
  • Discover new places and interesting routes between them on rides organized by the Cambridge Bicycle Committee. Most tours are themed, with brief talks and an informational brochure of images, text and map. The tours are accessible to all bike riders, moving at an easy pace in a group escorted by the Cambridge Police bicycle patrol. The rides are free of charge and end with free refreshments!
