The City has issued the Climate Change Preparedness and Resilience (CCPR) Plan for Alewife. The CCPR Alewife Plan presents specific strategies that can be taken in response to climate change threats - including heat, flooding from precipitation, flooding from sea level rise, and storm surge - to create a prepared and resilient Alewife neighborhood. In addition to the CCPR Plan, the CCPR handbook contains details about each strategy.

The City is currently seeking feedback on the CCPR Plan for Alewife from the public and stakeholders. There are two ways to comment:

  • Sign into the project’s digital engagement tool to indicate how much of a priority each proposed strategy should be for the Alewife area. You can weigh in on any number of proposed strategies in any order. You can also leave specific comments and engage with other users’ feedback. Note: If you already provided feedback on Envision Cambridge's draft goals, you can use the same login information to weigh in on the CCPR Plan for Alewife.
  • Send comments directly to the project manager, John Bolduc, by email at jbolduc@cambridgema.gov or via post/delivery: John Bolduc, Community Development Department, 344 Broadway, Cambridge, MA  02139.

The comment period will be open until January 31, 2018. Please be as specific in feedback as possible, as it will be used to refine the CCPR planning for the Alewife area and comments will be reflected in the final citywide CCPR Plan.
