Harvard Square Advisory Committee

Authority:
Chapter 20.50, Subsection 20.54 of the Cambridge Zoning Ordinance.

Purpose: 
To review all major development proposals in the Harvard Square Overlay District.  Provide a forum within which a wide range of perspectives on development can be heard. Hold public meetings for projects of a certain size within the Harvard Square Overlay District and make a non-binding report to the Planning Board. Review and comment on applications for variances and special permits in the district

Membership: 
13 members (1 architect or landscape architect, 1 real estate developer or financial expert, 1 member who operates a business in Harvard Square, 2 members who are owners of Harvard Square commercial property, 5 members from abutting neighborhoods, 1 additional resident-at-large, 1 institutional representative, 1 member representing Historical Commission
