Windsor Street Condominiums
Just A Start Corporation redeveloped the church and rectory buildings at 424-430 Windsor Street into 14 affordable condominium units. The former Immaculate Conception church was sold by the archdiocese in 2007. The church was later designated a historic landmark, and the design for the adaptive reuse is sensitive to the rich history of the buildings. Many historic details will be maintained, while the new use will provide housing opportunities designed for families. The Windsor Street Condominiums will help 14 income-eligible householdsamilies become homeowners.
Both the City of Cambridge and Cambridge Affordable Housing Trust provided funding for the development, which was occupied during Fall 2012. Units range in size from one- to four-bedrooms, and are available to households earning up to 100% of the area median income.
