The City of Cambridge, in cooperation with Harvard University and the Harvard Square Business Association, has engaged in a public process to develop recommendations for the public open space in the center of Harvard Square: The T plaza, Forbes Plaza at Holyoke Center, and the broad sidewalk in front of the Coop and Bank of America.

There was a public workshop held on September 17, 2013. You can review the presentation from that meeting below:

JUNE 3 Meeting Postponed - RESCHEDULED for WEDNESDAY JUNE 17

The Wednesday June 3rd Harvard Square Placemaking meeting has been postponed and rescheduled for Wednesday, June 17th from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Smith Campus Center, 2nd Floor, 1344 Massachusetts Avenue. The entrance is located next to Cambridge Trust (to the left of the main entrance). A sign will be on the door indicating the location. Details to follow. Follow-up Public Workshop

Join us for an evening of continued discussion on the ideas for the public space in the heart of Harvard Square including the Plazas at the T, Harvard's Forbes Plaza at Holyoke Center, and in front of the Coop. The session will kick off with a look at the public open space interventions to date, followed by further discussion of the four categories of actions in and around the plazas.
