MBTA Key Bus Routes Program

MBTA bus approching Dawes Island bus stop

The City of Cambridge worked with the MBTA on its Key Bus Routes Program, which consisted of changes to several of the MBTA's busiest routes to improve service for riders. Changes included access improvements at all stops, bus shelters, benches, trash barrels and relocation of some stops. In Cambridge, Routes 1, 66, 71, 73, and 77 were part of this program.
