Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy

Buildings in Cambridge are responsible for more than 80% of the city’s greenhouse gas emissions, more than transportation and waste combined. Reducing building energy use is a critical to the City’s environmental and climate goals.

The Cambridge Energy Alliance (CEA) offers many different energy programs for the residents and businesses. CEA can help you reduce energy use, get clean energy, and find ways to help you save money. You can learn more about requirements for large business and big buildings, such as those subject to the Building Energy Use and Disclosure Ordinance (BEUDO). Also, check out what the City is doing to plan for net zero energy, green building, and climate change.
