Directions to the Community Development Offices
at 344 Broadway
The Community Development Department is located at 344 Broadway (corner of Broadway and Inman Street), in the City Hall Annex / McCusker Center. City Hall Annex is close to Central, Inman, and Harvard Square, and is easily accessible on foot, by bike, and by public transit. Our hours of operation are 8:30 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. Monday through Friday.

Walking
From Central Square:
- Walk northwest on Massachusetts Avenue (towards Harvard Square) to Inman Street (at City Hall).
- Turn right onto Inman Street, and walk three blocks to the corner of Inman Street and Broadway.
- City Hall Annex is on the southwest corner of the intersection.
From Inman Square:
- Walk south on Inman Street (next to the fire station) one long block to the corner of Inman Street and Broadway.
- City Hall Annex is on the southwest corner of the intersection.
From Harvard Square:
- Walk southeast on Massachusetts Avenue to Quincy Square (intersection of Mass. Ave, Quincy Street, and Bow Street).
- From Quincy Square, continue southeast on Harvard Street about half a mile until you reach Inman Street.
- Turn left on Inman Street, and walk one block to the corner of Inman Street and Broadway.
- City Hall Annex is on the southwest corner of the intersection.
Biking
From Central Square:
- Bike north on Prospect Street three blocks until you reach the corner of Prospect Street and Broadway.
- Turn left on Broadway and follow it to the next light, which is the intersection of Inman Street and Broadway.
- City Hall Annex is on the southwest corner of the intersection.
From Inman Square:
- Bike south on Inman Street (next to the fire station) one long block to the corner of Inman Street and Broadway.
- City Hall Annex is on the southwest corner of the intersection.
From Harvard Square:
- Bike southeast on Mount Auburn Street to the intersection of Putnam Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue.
- Turn left onto Trowbridge Street (the continuation of Putnam Avenue), and follow it two blocks to Broadway.
- Turn right onto Broadway, and follow it about one third of a mile to the corner of Inman Street and Broadway.
- City Hall Annex is on the southwest corner of the intersection.
Public Transit
City Hall Annex is well served by public transit, including the Red Line and a number of MBTA buses. Follow the links below for schedule and map information directly from the MBTA.

Driving
Driving to City Hall Annex is not encouraged, since parking is quite limited. Do not park in the lot at the back of the building, since you may be towed. If you do choose to drive, please follow the directions for biking listed above.
