Healthy Profits Workshop: How to Profitably Sell Healthy Products in Your Store or Restaurant

  • Date: Tuesday, May 12, 2015

  • Location: Cambridge Public Library Main Branch Community Room, 449 Broadway
  • Description: Selling or serving healthy food at your store or restaurant can help you increase sales and attract and retain local customers, but you can't just label a product or dish as "healthy" and expect sales to soar. This workshop will cover how to find out what types of healthy foods are likely to appeal to your current or potential customers and best techniques for displaying and promoting healthy foods. Participants will participate in a brief exercise to map out a plan for launching or expanding their healthy foods program. Everyone will go home with a handout outlining best practices for selling healthy foods and learn about eligibility for in-store consultations and grant opportunities. Presented by Good Egg Marketing.

Art of Business and Branding: Trademark and Copyright Basics

This seminar will go over two different types of intellectual property - copyrights and trademarks - including their differences, options for legally protecting them, and every day tips for maintaining a good business strategy for your "intangible" business assets. Best Retail Practices Workshop

  • Description: This workshop is Part 1 of the 3-part Best Retail Practices Program. City staff will work with participants, sharing best practices in retail interior and exterior design, marketing, and information on Cambridge programs. Business will also learn about eligibility for Part 2, the One-to-One In-Store Consultations, and Part 3, the Grant Program and the application process for both. Presented by the Economic Development Division.

Understanding Your Market - Cambridge Demographics Workshop
