Building a Basic Website Workshop

  • Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2015
  • Time: 8:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M.
  • Location: Cambridge City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway, 2nd floor Community Room
  • Description: Do you need a website for your business but are not sure where to start? Whether you are building your first website or hoping to get pointers to rebuild an aging website, you will leave with many resources and tips to get you on the right path to website success. In this two hour workshop, participants will receive a guided tour through the process of starting a website and learn tools around choosing and purchasing a domain name, publishing a site and building a site requiring complex Content Management System (CMS). Presented by the Center for Women and Enterprise.

In Pursuit of Capital

  • Date: Tuesday, March 17 2015
  • Time: 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
  • Location: Cambridge Public Library Main Branch, 449 Broadway, L2 Community Room
  • Description: This workshop will provide you with an overview of funding types and sources, explain criteria used by lenders in assessing financial proposals, review the elements of a classic loan package , assess the current resource environment, and demystify the pursuit of capital. Presented by the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center.

ABCs of Commercial Leasing

  • Date: Thursday, March 26, 2015
  • Time: 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.
  • Location: Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), Singapore Room, 11th floor, One Broadway, Cambridge, MA
  • Description: Landlords lease office and retail space 365 days a year. How often do you? Attend this seminar to get insight from the tenant's perspective on how real estate is traditionally done. With a little bit of education and guidance, locating a space for your business doesn't have to be brain surgery! Presented by Debra Stevens, The Stevens Group.

Demystifying Social Media Metrics Workshop

  • Date: Thursday April 16, 2015
  • Time: 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
  • Location: Cambridge City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway, 2nd floor Community Room
  • Description: What social media metrics are important, and how do you use them to grow your business? Knowing what data matters, and what doesn't, is critical to creating your own social media metrics tracking system. In this workshop, we'll first review the basics of Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and YouTube Insights. Next, we'll take a dive into social media metrics and look at the data you need to track in order to know what your online community wants, develop engaging content, and meet your goals. Presented by the Center for Women and Enterprise.
