The City of Cambridge in collaboration with Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA) offers a course for new condominium owners twice a year in Cambridge. The course reviews the rights and responsibilities of condominium owners, and helps owners in planning for maintaining their unit and common areas and elements, and manage their investment in their home. With the special nature of condo ownership, this class is recommended for all condo owners. The following topics are covered:
- Property Management and Maintenance
- Financial Management, Budgeting, Insurance
- Legal Structure of Condominiums
- Foreclosure Prevention
This course is required for all homeowners who purchased their home with a Soft Second mortgage, but is also open to all condominium owners or those considering buying a condominium.
