The Economic Development Division works with the Center for Women & Enterprise, Cambridge Community Television (CCTV), Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and local organizations to provide business development programs and services to Cambridge residents, entrepreneurs, and businesses.

Buildling Your Website with WordPress

  • Description: Do you want to have an attractive, sophisticated looking website without needing to learn any code? WordPress is one of the world's most popular web design tools; it's completely free, easy to use, and it creates professional looking websites. In this intro class, you will learn how to start a WordPress account, create pages and posts, insert media, and control your website's look and feel. Whether you'd like to create your own website from scratch, or gain technical knowledge to main a website for a future employer, this class is for you. Prerequisite: You You must have basic computer and internet literacy. Workshop instructor: Patricia Egessa.

  • Description: 93% of marketers are using video. Video is having a huge impact on how a company shares their messaging and hot to share proper Call to Action. In this class, you will learn the basics of what goes into a video production, how to create a beneficial video on a shoestring budget, and techniques for capturing a professional looking video with mobile device. We recommend you bring a mobile phone with video capabilities to class.
