A fire detail may be required for cutting and welding operations; for assemblies where live candles are in use; for buildings where the fire alarm and/or sprinkler systems have been disabled; and for other purposes where the Fire Marshal deems it neccessary for life safety.

Fire Details can be arranged by calling (617)-349-4990 or by sending an email to CTowski@cambridgefire.org. The following information is required: Your name and telephone number; business or company hiring the detail; location where the detail is needed; reason for the detail; Fire Permit number (special event and hotwork permits); and whether the detail is indoors or outdoors.

Details must be scheduled 1 business day in advance. Continuous details (construction projects) can be scheduled weekly.
