A permit shall be required from the Fire Department to install or connect any CNG equipment except the fueling of CNG powered vehicles, replacement of a portable container, or the filling of a stationary container. If the aggregate amount of CNG to be stored exceeds 10,000 cubic feet, then a license must first be obtained and a copy of the license shall be submitted with the application for a permit to install CNG.

Application for a permit to install CNG must be made in person at the Fire Prevention office.
