Pyrotechnics Use of pyrotechnics before a proximate audience is prohibited in the City of Cambridge. Theatrical Special Effects Application for a "limited special effects permit" for the supervised display of theatrical special effects shall be obtained from the Fire Department. Any person desiring a certificate of competency to conduct a theatrical special effects display shall obtain such certificate by making a special application to the State Fire Marshal. Application for such permit shall be submitted at least 15 days in advance of the date of the display and shall set forth:
The display shall be under the supervision of an individual competent operator holding a Certificate of Competency for Special Effects issued by the State Fire Marshal, and valid for two years. The applicant for the special effects permit shall demonstrate the display in the presence of the Fire Department at least four hours before the performance and shall give the Fire Department at least four days notice of such demonstration. |
