On 9/4/08 at 12:23 AM, a resident of Richdale Ave. reported that two teenage black males pulled a handgun and robbed him on Richdale Ave.

On 9/4/08 at 6:25 AM, a Madison Ave. resident reported that an unknown person broke into his house and stole several items.

 

 

Motor Vehicle Larceny

On 9/4/08 at 8:22 AM, a Somerville resident reported that his car was stolen from Beech Street sometime between 10:45 PM on 9/3/08 and 8:00 AM on 9/4/08.

On 9/4/08 at 8:25 AM, a Cambridge resident reported that sometime between 5:00 PM on 9/3/08 and 8:00 AM on 9/4/08, an unknown suspect removed an Alpine stereo and a hub cap key from his unlocked Honda Accord while it was parked on Cushing St.

On 9/4/08 at 10:51 AM, The manager of The Helmand Restaurant located on First St. stated that the potted plants in front of the restaurant were damaged sometime between 1:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

On 9/4/08 at 11:33 AM, a Porter Square business reported that sometime between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM on 9/2/08, some unknown person passed three counterfeit $20 bills.

 

 

Larceny Over $250

On 9/4/08 at 12:19 AM, a resident of Newton MA reported that a Cambridge resident stole a large sum of money from him. The suspect is an acquaintance of the victim. He reported that he loaned the suspect money and the suspect never re-paid him.

On 9/4/08 at 2:09 PM, a Senior Vice President for a bank in Technology Square reported that between 7/22/08 and 8/23/08, a now-ex-teller stole a large sum of money from bank transactions.

 

 

Assault and Battery

On 9/4/08 at 2:39 PM, an officer responded to 425 Mass for a report of a fight. A witness reported that he observed two white males having a verbal argument. The witness further stated that he then saw one of the involved parties pushing and slapping the other involved party in the face, at which point that involved party fought back and punched the other involved party in the face to defend himself.

On 9/4/08 at 3:09 PM, an Erie Street resident reported that a resident of his apartment building made threats against him during a verbal altercation.

 

 

Drug Arrest

On 9/4/08 at 3:14 PM, Kevin Capasso, 49, of 54 Medford St., Arlington MA, and Kenneth Belski, 46, of 35 Pearl St., Somerville MA, were arrested after Mr. Capasso was observed operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. In a addition, Possession of Class D charges were filed because of the presence of a   small amount of a green leafy substance presumed to be marijuana.

On 9/4/08 at 3:35 PM, a Winchester MA resident reported that between 7:15 AM and 3:30 PM, while her motor vehicle was parked in the 350 Third street parking garage, an unknown person(s) smashed the passenger side front window of her husband’s motor vehicle and stole her Garmin GPS unit.

On 9/4/08 at 3:54 PM, a reporting party stated that while standing on the sidewalk, she was verbally abused by an unknown male over her nationality. She further stated that over the past year, unknown person(s) have dumped garbage and trash on the front porch and in the backyard of her home.

On 9/4/08 at 4:14 PM, Mr. Richard Bridgeman, 64, of 39 Dimmock St., Roxbury MA was arrested after he was observed by an officer drinking from an open container of alcohol in a public place.

On 9/4/08 at 4:31 PM, a reporting party stated that between 8/16/08 and 9/4/08, while working as a volunteer for a human rights group passing out fliers, there has been another group in opposition that comes by daily, wearing masks, and are swearing and being disruptive. They sometimes corner the human rights volunteers in a threatening manner. On one occasion they followed the human rights volunteers to their cars while taking pictures of them and their license plates.

On 9/4/08 at 4:56 PM, a reporting party stated that her bank contacted her to verify usage on her checking account. Person(s) unknown gained access into her checking account in an unknown manner and made numerous unauthorized transactions.

On 9/4/08 at 5:44 PM, a homeless man from Cambridge was assaulted by another homeless man. The victim was struck in the head with a beer bottle while he slept on a bench on Cambridge street.

On 9/4/08 at 5:50 PM, the gas attendant at Petroleum gas on Concord Ave. reported that he had a disagreement with a customer and the customer tried to punch him.

On 9/4/08 at 6:14 PM, a Medway resident reported that person(s) unknown broke into his motor vehicle while parked inside 555 Technology Square parking garage. The suspect(s) smashed the passenger side window and removed a GPS that was mounted on the dashboard.

On 9/4/08 at 6:26 PM, a North Andover resident reported that the left coner of her rear bumper of her motor vehicle was damaged by a hit and run tow truck while the vehicle was parked on Pemberton St.

On 9/4/08 at 7:06 PM, a Cambridge resident was issued a criminal citation for Operating After Suspension and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle while she was operating her motor vehicle on Garden St.

On 9/4/08 at 7:08 PM, a Malden resident, who is employed at the One Kendall Square Complex, reported that a former friend threatened her and has been calling her and e-mailing her for the past couple of weeks.

On 9/4/08 at 7:52 PM, an Emmons Place resident reported that a threatening letter was sent to her regarding her disposal of animal feces.

 

 

Drug Arrest

On 9/4/08 at 8:43 PM, Ronald Joseph, 22, of 120 ½ Pleasant St., Cambridge MA, Samson Gebre, 23, of 808 Memorial Dr., Cambridge MA, Keith G. Moore, 35, of 1000 Jackson Pl., Cambridge MA, and another unknown black male were observed to conduct a drug transaction with Robin Battledeck, 46, of 30 Cambridge Park Drive, Cambridge MA. All four males were in the vehicle during the witnessed transaction. The location of the transaction was within 1000' of the Moppet Daycare Center. During an effort to stop the motor vehicle, it failed to stop for police commands, committed several traffic violations including speeding and stop sign violations, and finally stopped when it struck a parked motor vehicle and the occupants fled from the vehicle. Mr. Joseph, Mr. Gebre, Mr. Moore, and Ms. Battledeck were all placed under arrest.

On 9/4/08 at 10:17 PM, a Cambridge resident reported that he observed a neighbor armed with a knife knocking on another neighbor's door. ECC received a second call from the armed man's doctor stating he was going there to kill a neighbor. The individual was gone upon police arrival.

On 9/4/08 at 10:56 PM, a Cambridge resident reported that an unknown person broke into his apartment by cutting the screen in the rear bedroom of one of his roommate’s windows. Three other roommates are also victims. Jewelry, a laptop camera, several watches, and a passport and an airplane ticket to India were reported missing.
