On 9/9/08 at 1:02 AM, there was one report of a single gunshot in the area of Market Street. Responding units searched the surrounding area with negative results.

On 9/9/08 at 3:29 AM, a resident of Thorndike St reported a B&E to their motor vehicle by unknown person(s) who unlocked the front passenger door through unknown means. Nothing appeared to be taken at the time.

On 9/9/08 at 8:07 AM, a Cambridge resident reported that unknown suspect(s) stole his red 1997 Honda Civic while it was parked in the driveway a School St. residence. This occurred sometime between 7:45 PM on 9/8/08 and 8:00 Am on 9/9/08.

On 9/9/08 at 11:13 AM, a female resident of Green Street reported that her husband’s motor vehicle was damaged and a note was left on the car threatening to tip the motor vehicle over if it was not moved.

On 9/9/08 at 12:32 PM, a reporting person stated that while at Mass. Ave. and Landsdowne St. at approximately 7:00 AM on 8/31/08, she lost her purse.

On 9/9/08 at 1:03 PM, a reporting party stated that someone broke into her motor vehicle on Mt. Auburn St. and stole her GPS. Entrance was gained by breaking the passenger's side window.

On 9/9/08 at 1:57 PM, a Watertown resident reported that her ex-boyfriend violated a 209A restraining order out of the state of California by calling her and threatening to harm her.

Larceny of Motor Vehicle

On 9/9/08 at 2:08 PM, a Cambridge resident reported that an unknown suspect broke into her white 2000 Honda Civic in an attempt to steal it. This occurred sometime between 4:30 PM on 9/8/08 and 2:08 PM on 9/9/08, while it was parked on Pine St. The suspect gained access into the vehicle by using a "slim jim" along the front, passenger side window to unlock the door.  Suspect then stripped the steering wheel column; it appears, to hot wire the vehicle's ignition system. The suspect apparently was not able to start the vehicle.  However, the vehicle was rendered inoperable during the process.  None of the vehicle's contents were missing.

On 9/9/08 at 3:42 PM, officers were dispatched to a Cameron Ave. residence on a report of a disturbance. The resident stated that she was involved in an argument. No violence was reported.

On 9/9/08 at 4:42 PM, officers responded to a Rice St. residence on the report of a loud argument involving a female and an intoxicated male in front of said location. The victim informed officers that shortly after she arrived home, a male party known to her appeared at her front door, but she refused to let him in. The victim stated that he violated a temporary restraining order over the summer, and an agreement was made, at court where the male suspect could come by the residence, but not intoxicated, which according to the victim he was. The victim stated that a loud argument ensued, but she wouldn't allow him in. She stated there were no threats or violence. She stated that he then left the area.

On 9/9/08 at 4:52 PM, detectives received a call from a Cambridge District Court Probation Officer relevant to a suspect, Miss Joy Willis, 21, of 379 Poplar Street, Roslindale, MA. Miss Willis was positively identified by the probation officer and the detectives as suspect with an outstanding warrant in a current MIT Police investigation from 5/8/08. Ms. Willis was placed under arrest.

On 9/9/08 at 5:04 PM, a resident of Brookline St. reported that a subcontractor working in his residence stole a check from his bankbook. The check was cashed by the subcontractor employee in another jurisdiction.

On 9/9/08 at 5:20 PM, a manager for the condominiums located at 130 Mt. Auburn Street reported that a hit and run taxi damaged a light pole and a post located in the driveway at that address.

On 9/9/08 at 6:25 PM, a reporting person stated that his mountain bike was stolen out of his garage located in front of his house on Harvey St. in Cambridge.

Under 21 In The Possession of Liquor

On 9/9/08 at 6:57 PM, a Cambridge Juvenile was arrested after a brief foot chase that started in the rear on York St. The juvenile was observed drinking from an alcoholic container. The juvenile fled from police and a foot pursuit ensued, causing pedestrians to jump out of the way avoiding a collision with the juvenile. The juvenile had in his possession a 100ML bottle of Brandy. The juvenile stated that he was under the age of twenty-one.

On 9/9/08 at 7:05 PM, a resident of Rindge Ave. reported that after a small motor vehicle accident on Western Ave. his front license plate was lost.

On 9/9/08 at 7:45 PM, a Sidney Street resident reported that unknown person(s) used her debit card at an Exxon Station somewhere in Florida.

On 9/9/08 at 7:49 PM, a Hamilton Street resident reported that he received an e-mail from AOL stating that his account had to be updated with his information or it would be suspended. The reporting party supplied all his info and contacted AOL who stated they did not send the e-mail to him.

On 9/9/08 at 8:19 PM, Adrian Smith, 29, and Mitchell J. St. Louis, 23, of 820 Mass. Ave., Cambridge MA were placed under arrest for drinking in public after they were observed drinking from a bottle of wine behind the C.C.T.V.

On 9/9/08 at 8:42 PM, an Arlington resident reported that on 9/6/08 at approximately 5:30 PM, he was in Wendy's in Central Square. He had a cell phone in his windbreaker that was draped over the back of his chair. While he left his table to get some condiments an unknown person took his cell phone.

On 9/9/08 at 8:49 PM, units were dispatched to Fulkerson Street at Cambridge Street for a report of an individual who had been stabbed. A male was located with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to the hospital.
