On 9/9/08 at 2:08 PM, a Cambridge resident reported that an unknown suspect broke into her white 2000 Honda Civic in an attempt to steal it. This occurred sometime between 4:30 PM on 9/8/08 and 2:08 PM on 9/9/08, while it was parked on Pine St. The suspect gained access into the vehicle by using a "slim jim" along the front, passenger side window to unlock the door. Suspect then stripped the steering wheel column; it appears, to hot wire the vehicle's ignition system. The suspect apparently was not able to start the vehicle. However, the vehicle was rendered inoperable during the process. None of the vehicle's contents were missing.

On 9/9/08 at 3:42 PM, officers were dispatched to a Cameron Ave. residence on a report of a disturbance. The resident stated that she was involved in an argument. No violence was reported.

On 9/9/08 at 4:42 PM, officers responded to a Rice St. residence on the report of a loud argument involving a female and an intoxicated male in front of said location. The victim informed officers that shortly after she arrived home, a male party known to her appeared at her front door, but she refused to let him in. The victim stated that he violated a temporary restraining order over the summer, and an agreement was made, at court where the male suspect could come by the residence, but not intoxicated, which according to the victim he was. The victim stated that a loud argument ensued, but she wouldn't allow him in. She stated there were no threats or violence. She stated that he then left the area.

On 9/9/08 at 4:52 PM, detectives received a call from a Cambridge District Court Probation Officer relevant to a suspect, Miss Joy Willis, 21, of 379 Poplar Street, Roslindale, MA. Miss Willis was positively identified by the probation officer and the detectives as suspect with an outstanding warrant in a current MIT Police investigation from 5/8/08. Ms. Willis was placed under arrest.

On 9/9/08 at 6:57 PM, a Cambridge Juvenile was arrested after a brief foot chase that started in the rear on York St. The juvenile was observed drinking from an alcoholic container. The juvenile fled from police and a foot pursuit ensued, causing pedestrians to jump out of the way avoiding a collision with the juvenile. The juvenile had in his possession a 100ML bottle of Brandy. The juvenile stated that he was under the age of twenty-one.
