UPDATE: North Cambridge Housebreak Arrest - 9/16/08

North Cambridge Housebreaks

On 9/16/08, Cambridge Police Detectives arrested a 15-year-old juvenile from Malden, MA in connection with recent housebreaks throughout the North Cambridge neighborhood.


Residents of the North Cambridge Neighborhood are advised to be alert for subjects responsible for some residential housebreaks that are occurring in the area.

From 08/11/08- 09/04/08 there have been 6 reported housebreaks in the North Cambridge Neighborhood.  Reports indicate that these housebreaks are occurring during the early morning hours of 4:00am to 7:00 am.  Entry is often gained through open or unlocked first floor windows. Laptops, video game systems, wallets and cell phones have been stolen in these breaks.

The suspects in these incidents are described as one dark-skinned, skinny, tall, black male, and another male of an unknown race. Both suspects are approximately 16 years old and riding on bicycles. 

Residents are asked to secure windows, make use of lighting and activate burglar alarms. 

All residents are asked to be alert for these suspects or any other suspicious individuals in the area and call 911 if observed.
