Disorderly Conduct

On 9/30/08 at 1:10 AM, Maximilian Turrel, 19, of 205 Putnam St., Cambridge MA, and Anguel Momtchilov, 19, of 191 Windsor St., Cambridge MA were placed under arrest for Assault and Battery after they were observed by an officer punching a victim in the stomach. In addition, Rafael Lima, 34, of 73 Perkins St., Somerville MA, was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct after he began yelling obscenities at officers on scene. As officers were attempting to detain him, he broke free and fled on foot, at one point, jumping on the hood of a Police Cruiser.

 

 

Larceny From Motor Vehicle

On 9/30/08 at 9:36 AM, a Dana St. resident reported that an unknown person(s) stole the lug nuts from the wheels of her motor vehicle while the vehicle was parked on Dana St. It appeared that the suspect(s) were attempting to steal the wheels. It occurred sometime between 4:00 PM on 9/29/08 and 8:00 AM on 9/30/08.

 

 

Uninsured Motor Vehicle

On 9/30/08 at 9:44 AM, a resident of Malden, MA was stopped for a traffic violation. During the stop, it was discovered that the motor vehicle had a Revoked Registration due to Insurance Cancellation. The operator received a citation for the offense.

 

 

Plate Number Violation

On 9/30/08 at 9:54 AM, a motor vehicle was towed from Mass. Ave. for trespassing in a private lot. The motor vehicle had a wrong license plate attached to it. The motor vehicle had a forged registration sticker on the attached plate. The motor vehicle also had a forged inspection sticker displayed on its windshield.

 

 

False Check

On 9/30/08 at 10:31 AM, on organization located on Bishop Allen Drive reported that they were contacted by a bank to inform them of suspicious activity on the company account. The bank faxed
the director copies of two checks that were never legitimately issued by the organization.

On 9/30/08 at 11:25 AM, a custodian at a Cambridge Public School reported that sometime between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM, an unknown suspect removed a cordless drill from the front lobby.

On 9/30/08 at 12:10 PM, an officer responded to a Newton St. residence to document a past B&E to a home. Upon arrival, the officer met with the reporting party who stated that between 7:30 AM and 12:15 PM, an unknown suspect broke into his residence. Several items were reported missing.

On 9/30/08 at 12:40 PM, a reporting party stated that on 9/29/08, her bank notified her that someone had tried to withdraw funds by check from her company’s account. The bank identified the check as being from an old account and the funds were not released.

On 9/30/08 at 2:12 PM, a victim stated that sometime between 10:00 PM on 9/29/08 and 2:00 AM on 9/30/08, unknown(s) gained entry to his motor vehicle while it was parked on Bent St. and stole several items.

On 9/30/08 at 3:06 PM, a reporting party stated that while at Wendy’s, a black female named wearing a hair net made threats to punch and stab her.

On 9/30/08 at 3:27 PM, a Cambridge resident reported that an unknown person opened a credit card using his personal information.

 

 

A&B Dangerous Weapon

On 9/30/08 at 3:50 PM, a Cambridge resident reported that she was involved in an accident on 8/28/08 on Cambridge St. near Seventh St. and she feels that the operator of the suspect vehicle collided with her on purpose.

 

 

Credit Card Fraud

On 9/30/08 at 3:56 PM, a Cambridge resident stated that she received a call from her bank stating that unauthorized charges had been appearing on her debit card in the area of Great Britain.

 

 

Larceny From Building

On 9/30/08 at 4:02 PM, a reporting party stated that she noticed something weird about her bike. The next day she realized the both tires from her bike were missing.  The bike was next to her motor vehicle, which was parked under the building.

On 9/30/08 at 4:03 PM, a resident of Cambridge reported his roommate took two checks from his checkbook, signed, and cashed one of the checks.

 

 

Shoplifting

On 9/30/08 at 4:09 PM, a security officer from Whole Foods Market located on Alewife Brook Parkway observed a customer place numerous items from the shelves of the Whole Foods Market into bags in her shopping cart then pass the cashier’s register without paying for the items and exit the store.

On 9/30/08 at 4:16 PM, a Cambridge resident stated that at some point while she was doing her laundry in the basement person(s) unknown entered her apartment through an unlocked back door. Missing at the time was a silver teapot set, a silver candy dish, and silver jewelry.

On 9/30/08 at 4:44 PM, Omar Washington, 36, of 97 Chestnut St., Brockton MA was placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Rejected Safety Inspection Sticker and Operating a Motor Vehicle With a Suspended Registration.

 

 

Restraining Order Violation

On 9/30/08 at 5:35 PM, an officer spoke with a reporting party in the police station lobby regarding a past restraining order violation, which occurred on Green St.

On 9/30/08 at 5:39 PM, James Scott, 52, of 18 Clinton St., Cambridge MA, was placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor 2nd Offense after the reporting party watched him stumble and fall down in the crosswalk on Prospect St. The defendant was then seen entering his vehicle on the driver’s side and was trying to drive away when the reporting party blocked his vehicle.

On 9/30/08 at 5:59 PM, an officer responded to Tremont Street for a report of a past break and entering to a motor vehicle.

On 9/30/08 at 6:13 PM, a Watertown resident reported that her pocketbook was stolen on Brookline Street.

On 9/30/08 at 6:18 PM, an employee at a kiosk in the CambridgeSide Galleria Mall reported being punched in the stomach and threatened by an employee who is known to him from another kiosk.

On 9/30/08 at 7:43 PM, a Fifth Street resident reported that unauthorized credit card charges to her credit card were made in China.

On 9/30/08 at 7:56 PM, an officer responded to an Auburn Park location for a reported malicious destruction of property to a motor vehicle.

On 9/30/08 at 7:57 PM, an officer responded to the Casablanca Restaurant on a report of a larceny of a handbag.

 

 

Assault and Battery

On 9/30/08 at 8:16 PM, a coach of the Cambridge Pop Warner reported that the mother of one of his players choked her son for misbehaving at practice.

 

 

Malicious Destruction

On 9/30/08 at 8:17 PM, a reporting party stated that unknown suspect(s) sprayed a soapy type of substance on their front door in the form of an "X".

 

 

Credit Card Fraud

On 9/30/08 at 9:08 PM, a Cambridge resident reported the unauthorized use of her ATM card to purchase numerous items online.

 

 

Uninsured Motor Vehicle

On 9/30/08 at 9:22 PM, an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Sydney St. by Green St.  The vehicles' registration was revoked for an Insurance Cancellation from May 2008. The operator was written a citation for the offense.

 

 

Disturbing the Peace

On 9/30/08 at 9:43 PM, a female party reported that while walking to work in the morning, a man in Raymond Park was taking her picture without her permission.

 

 

Reported Gunshots

On 9/30/08 at 10:03 PM, a security officer for the Walden Square Rd. complex stated that he heard two gunshots from the area of the Wood St. playground. A search of the area produced negative results.

 

 

Armed Assault to Rob

On 9/30/08 at 10:05 PM, Jonathan Queen, 20, of 470 Green St., Cambridge MA, was arrested with along with two 16-year-old male Cambridge juveniles and charged with Armed Assault to Rob for an incident that occurred on Dana St. just before Broadway. One of the juveniles pulled a knife on the victim in an attempt to rob him, while Queen and the other juvenile surrounded the victim. The victim positively identified all three suspects.

 

 

Warrant Arrest

On 9/30/08 at 10:31 PM, a call was dispatched as an armed robbery. A suspect fitting the description was stopped and ran for warrants. The suspect, Jonathan Callahan, 25, of 32 Dudley St., Roxbury MA, was placed under arrest for warrants.
