On 11/2/09 at 3:18 AM, a Malden, MA resident reported an unknown person(s) removed a   briefcase from his unlocked motor vehicle while parked on Mass Ave.  The briefcase contained a laptop, GPS, cell phone, an various debit cards.

On 11/2/09 at 7:27 AM, an employee for North Cambridge Catholic high school reported that an unknown person inserted glue in the locks of the front and rear doors of the school.

On 11/2/09 at 8:16 AM, a motor vehicle was broken into while parked on Gore St. stolen was a cell phone charger.

 

Operating a Motor Vehicle After Suspension

On 11/2/09 at 8:41 AM, a Cambridge, MA resident was observed operating a motor vehicle on Mass Ave. with a black rejection on a green sticker.  During the stop the operator was unable to produce a license and it was discovered that his license was suspended.  The operator was summoned to court for the violations as well as the owner for allowing an unlicensed operation, failing to inspect a motor vehicle and allowing unregistered operation.

On 11/2/09 at 11:21 AM, 20-year-old Jeffrey Castillo of 350 Third St. Cambridge, MA was arrested after destroying property in his mother's apartment during an argument.

On 11/2/09 at 2:57 PM, a Concord Ave. resident reported the theft of his Specialized hybrid bicycle. It had been stolen from the rear of his residence.

On 11/2/09 at 10:19 PM, 30-year-old Robert D. Ortiz of 16 Trowbridge Street # 11 Cambridge, MA was arrested for Operating After Suspension/License. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Green St.
