Columbia St.
Members of the Special Investigations Unit with the assistance of the Narcotics Unit from the Somerville Police conducted a search warrant at 98 Columbia St. David Landry was placed under arrest for Possession of Class B with the intent to distribute, School/Park Violation, and Possession of Ammunition. Reynaldo Crespo was placed under arrest at Windsor St. & Cambridge St. as a result of a search warrant for his person. Reynaldo Crespo was charged with Possession of Class A with Intent to Distribute.

The victim stated that he was robbed of his rent money by two black male suspects. The victim stopped at the bank to take out rent money after work. He then walked to the 7/11 in Central Square to buy a drink. After leaving 7/11, the suspects pushed and held the victim against the wall next to a McDonald's. Without saying anything, the suspects reached into the victim's pocket, stole the cash and then fled. The suspects seemed to know exactly where the cash was.
Suspect Description: 2 black males in their early 20s, both approx 5 foot 9 inches, medium build; one wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other a brown hooded sweatshirt

The victim stated that while walking on Hampshire St. near Union St. she observed a white male suspect and a black male suspect standing on the corner. As she approached them, the white male suspect stepped in front of her. When the victim tried to walk around him, he punched her in the face knocking her to the ground. The white male suspect punched the victim three more times while she was on the ground. The suspects grabbed the victim's purse and fled on Hampshire St. towards Boston in a grey SUV.

Officers responded to an alarm at Custom Eyes and found the front door smashed. No suspects were on the premises. The suspects stole 82 pairs of sunglasses and 2 aluminum display towers. The suspects most likely used a vehicle due to the weight of the display towers.

Fiske Place
A victim returned home and discovered a screen at the front of her apartment was open but the window was closed. The victim noticed three more screens open on the side of the house and scratch marks on the window sills. It appeared that the suspect had been trying to pry the windows open. The victim also noticed a box that had been delivered was moved.

A reporting party, an employee of Improv Boston, opened in the morning and noticed the office door that had been locked the night before was jimmied open. A small safe inside the office containing cash and paychecks was damaged. It's unknown if the safe was opened and contents were removed. Officers noticed several storage areas had been jimmied open in the basement and several bottles of beer were taken.

Officers responded to a reported odor of gas emanating from a dwelling and a possible break to the house. While on scene, officers noticed visible signs of forced entry. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Hampshire St.
A victim reported that while walking to his car after work he was approached by three black males. The first suspect grabbed the victim by the arm and told him to empty his pockets. He then proceeded to push the victim up against a parked motor vehicle while holding a knife. The other suspects acted as lookouts. The victim was able to flee when a passing motor vehicle drove by. The suspects fled towards Bristol St. and up to Hampshire St. The suspects were described as one black male, 18-20 years old, wearing a red hooded sweater with blue and gray coloring; one black male 16-18 years old, wearing a nylon style parka; and one black male in his teens.

A victim stated that she received an e-mail from her ex-husband stating that her business was closed. The victim is the sole proprietor of the business and did not authorize the shut down of the establishment. The victim went over to the place and found the door locks had been changed and a sign that read "closed for remodeling." The victim called a locksmith and was able to gain entry and found that the establishment had been cleared out of food, liquor, glassware/china, stereo system, security system, cigarettes and other items. The victim is owner and did not authorize any close, sale or transfer of the establishment.

Officers responded to a report of a break. A reporting party stated that she found the window to the laundry room door broken. Officers entered the front door looking for a suspect and found him laying on the floor in the dark. The suspect told officers that his friend let him in and the window was not broken at that time. He stated that he was not feeling well and needed a place to sleep. The suspect was placed under arrest and transferred to CPD.

Officers were dispatched for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers found the victim on the ground dazed and bloody. He appeared intoxicated. A witness was at his side exclaiming who the suspect was. The witness stated that the suspect started kicking and beating up the victim because he was on the ground. All three parties are all well known to CPD.

A reporting party stated that he placed his company laptop down and went to use the bathroom and when he returned it was missing. The reporting party informed security employees who were able to view the surveillance cameras and observed an unknown male enter and the building. The individual was not known to any of the employees. The suspect was described as a black male, 6'2'' tall, 250lbs, bald, was wearing a large white jacket, blue jeans, blue sneakers, and was carrying a black bag.

A reporting party stated that sometime during the night unknown person(s) had used a wire Kryptonite lock to wrap through the front outer doors. This blocked entry for customers into the ATM area. The Bank could not open the next morning and had to wait for the fire department to come and cut the lock. The central security divisions called and stated that another branch in Boston's Chinatown had a similar situation.

A victim stated that two bikes that were in the far corner of the backyard not easily visible were stolen. He stated that when he and his roommate came out in the morning they noticed one bike had been knocked over and the other was missing. Later that night they put another bike under a tarp in that same corner and it was taken as well. There was also a lot of damage to plants and pots in the backyard.

A suspect was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Intimidation of a Witness by means of willfully misleading a police investigation. Officers were dispatched on a report of someone being threatened with a knife. Officers identified the suspect but when they tried to speak with this party in regards to the assault, the defendant kept interfering and became loud and belligerent. He was subsequently placed under arrest for the aforementioned charges.

A victim stated that while walking on Harvard St. near the Green Rose Heritage Park two black males approached him and pushed him up against a car and demanded money. The victim told them he didn't have any money and one suspect grabbed him by the throat. When the suspect let go, the victim was able to flee. The victim could only say the suspects were two black males about 18-22 years old and that the one who grabbed him had large eyes.

A victim stated that while staying with her boyfriend, she awoke to find an unknown male in the doorway to the bedroom. The victim's boyfriend confronted the suspect who then fled through the front door. Nothing appeared to be missing and it is believed that the suspect may have gained entry through the front door that was possibly unlocked. The suspect was described as a black male, short spiky hair, goatee and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Officers responded to a past assault and found the victim on the ground. When officers attempted to assist the victim he became extremely hostile. Officers could detect the smell of alcohol. The victim also aggressively ripped the officers radio off his jacket causing it to tear. Another witness came forward starting that defendant had swung his cane at him but missed. The defendant was placed under arrest and during booking found to be in possession of cocaine.

A reporting party stopped officers and reported that he was robbed in the parking lot behind McDonald's. He stated that two black males, both wearing black t-shirts, one wearing a black red sox hat with short dreadlocks, pulled a gun on him and his friend and demanded all his jewelry. The suspects then fled in a small older red car with tinted windows.

A victim reported that while walking out of the ATM he realized he had never retrieved his card. He walked back in and saw the suspect taking out money on his card. He demanded his money back but the suspect refused stating it was not the victim's card. The victim and his friend blocked the door until the suspect gave them back their money. They attempted to keep him in the area while they called police but the man brandished a knife and then fled.

A reporting party called officers and stated that a man came to her door asking to speak with her son. She asked him to leave and he began to try and get into the home by forcing his way through the entryway while both residents tried to brace the door. The suspect stated to officers that the reporting party's son owed him money and when he tried to collect, he gave him prescription pills when he just needed money to feed his children. The suspect was arrested and transported to CPD.

A custodian at the Cambridgeport School reported that unknown persons wrote vulgarities all over the side of the school. A teacher took several photos to submit to CPD before the custodian began the cleaning process due to the fact that many small children utilize the playground there.

A victim reported being struck by a man with a metal cane in the leg. Officers responded and found a male matching the victim's description a few feet away. The suspect was arrested taken to CPD and charged with Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (cane).

A victim reported returning to his car, a 2008 Honda Fit, to find both passenger side tires missing. The hood was also open but he was unsure if anything was taken from the engine at that time. There were also several hubcap bolts missing from both drivers' side tires as if an attempt to obtain those tires has been interrupted.

A cab driver reported being assaulted by a client. Officers found the victim lying in his cab with a contusion on his left temple. The victim was disoriented but after a while was able to tell officers that two black males at the Charles Hotel put the intoxicated white male described as 25-30yrs, 6'0'' black hair, glasses and wearing an orange t-shirt, in his cab. The victim took the suspect to Amory St. and after the suspect paid; he struck the victim several times and fled down an alley towards Inman St.

Officers responded to a fight in progress. They had ordered the suspects to stop, but after numerous attempts had to use O.C. spay. One suspect fled the scene but was picked up by other officers. Ambulance arrived on scene to treat the victim for lacerations to the head and others for exposure to O.C. spray. Christopher Blake, 19, of Dorchester MA, Nathan Pellegrini, 19, of Cambridge MA, and Tony White, 19, of Boston MA were all arrested and transported to CPD.

Officers responded to a home where a fight had ensued. It was a domestic issue that had escalated between four different individuals. The victim reported being punched in the face and then had a knife pulled on her.

A reporting party flagged down officers after witnessing a man and women arguing inside the bank over money. The argument continued outside where the man grabbed the victim's purse and fled. Officers pursued a suspect fitting the description given by the reporting party. The suspect was apprehended and positively identified by the reporting party as Jean Kens Serge Louis-Juste, 41, of Washington Street in Cambridge. He was placed under arrest.

A victim reported being robbed on 7.3.08. The victim stated that while walking down an alley in Central Square, two males approached her and tried to take her purse. When she wouldn't let go, they pushed her up against the alley wall and demanded it. She handed the bag over and the two suspects fled. They were described as two black males, 20-30 years old, with short black hair and clean-shaven.

A male suspect was arrested for Possession w/ Intent to Distribute and other charges after he was discovered to be in possession of marijuana. The distribution charge was added because, while in custody, the suspects' cell phone received numerous phone calls from people looking to purchase narcotics. The suspect did not cooperate with officers and was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and A&B PO.

Street Robberies
You are always at a higher risk for being robbed late at night and on dark streets. Try to avoid these areas. Avoid public parks and areas with excessive trees and bushes. Avoid deserted areas and shortcuts. Walk close to the curb, except where cars pull in. Always walk briskly and confidently. Be aware of who is around you and what is going on. Have your keys ready so you can unlock your car door, or the door to your home. If you ever feel threatened, draw attention to yourself by making plenty of noise.
If robbed, always treat any firearm displayed by a robber as being loaded. Follow the robber’s instructions. It is not worth being seriously hurt by resisting.
Study the robber as closely as possible. Take note of their race, age, height, sex, clothing, speech characteristics and scars. It may help to see if the robber resembles anyone famous that has similar features. Try to note which direction they flee after the robbery. Call 911 as soon as possible and relay this information.
When speaking to the Emergency Communication Center, give the exact address of where the robbery occurred. Describe exactly what happened as clearly as possible. Describe the robbers and let the dispatcher know if the person is still in view, how long ago they left and if any weapons were shown. Also state whether medical attention is needed.

When a citizen calls the above number, he or she will generally hear a taped message asking the caller to speak as long as you like. Explain the activity in as much detail as possible, including the following information:
