The Literacy Project

The Cambridge Public Library Literacy Project is for adults who want to improve their reading and writing skills. The Literacy Project offers classes in English conversation, citizenship, job hunting/resume writing and computers. Tutorials meet once or twice a week at the Central Square Branch, from September to May, with ongoing support available from the coordinator.

We emphasize speaking, reading and writing and recognize the importance of the student life experience in the learning process. Computer literacy is integrated into some literacy tutorials. We welcome both native and non-native English speakers from many cultural backgrounds.
