Boudreau Branch Book Discussion Groups

Where: Boudreau Branch, 245 Concord Avenue.

When: The First Wednesday group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at noon. The Second Thursday group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Both groups meet throughout the year. For specific dates, call the branch at (617) 349-4017.

Reading Interests: The groups read a wide range of modern fiction, with occasional forays into non-fiction, memoirs, and the "classics." Titles from recent years include The Dew Breaker by Edwidge Danticat; Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts; The Known World by Edward Jones; English Passengers by Matthew Kneale; and The Magician's Assistant by Ann Patchett. Books are chosen by group consensus, usually one or two months in advance.

Requirements: Because of space limitations, preregistration is required. The group leader secures Minuteman Library Network copies of each title in sufficient number for all members.

Contact: Linda Haines, Boudreau Branch Librarian (617-349-4017; lhaines@cambridgema.gov).
