Northeast Sector Project Goal #4:

Produce new, inviting active use areas further from the Reservoir.

The City plans to open other areas on the Reservation for more active use.  A new youth soccer field has been created in the open area along Concord Avenue west of Neville Place; this is also the new home for the community garden.  The entire area has been named William G. Maher Park.

The old community garden located behind Neville Place was removed in the spring of 2006.  A new community garden has been built to the side of Neville Place.  Benches, water, and closer access by vehicles makes this location a better site for this use.

New seating will be blended into the new pathways and features of the Northeast Sector.  Resting areas will offer views of the Reservoir, Black's Nook, and Lusitania Meadow.
