Cambridge Water Department's 6th annual Fresh Pond Day celebrating the land, water, wildlife, and people at Fresh Pond.

Music in 2 locations, snacks, kids' activities, storytelling, live animals, stilt walking, container gardening, drawing from nature, life under a log, urban canning, family bike parade, bike tuneups, dog training clinics, city chickens, tours of the reservation and the water treatment plant, pedicab rides, and information about Fresh Pond ecology and local environmental initiatives.

Free and open to all. Rain or shine. Bring your own picnic.

To get to Fresh Pond Day:

By Bus - From Harvard Square T Station: #72 stops at the corner of Huron Ave and Fresh Pond Parkway. #74 and #78 stops at the Sunoco station on Concord Ave. Cross into the Reservation and go left. Parking is limited.

By Subway - From Alewife T Station on the Red Line, turn right at Alewife Brook Parkway. Walk over the bridge, past the shopping centers, and cross Concord Ave at the Shell station. Enter at Lusitania Meadow. Follow the paved path, go left at the Perimeter Path.

By Bicycle - From Harvard Square take Brattle Street and go right at Lakeview. Cross Fresh Pond Parkway and go left.

By Car - Parking is very limited at Fresh Pond. You may park at the Tobin School parking lot at 197 Vassal Lane, cross Fresh Pond Parkway, and turn left.
