Never Finished High School?

Do you need your high school diploma to...

  • Help you get a job?
  • Help you change careers?
  • Make you eligible for promotion?
  • Enter college or a training program?
  • Gain a sense of accomplishment?
  • Recognize what you have learned from life experience?

How Does ADP Work?

The Adult Diploma Program (ADP) awards high school credit for skills and knowledge gained through life experience and classwork.  We work in cooperation with the City high school to give you a second chance to graduate with a diploma from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS).

When you enroll, we will assess your skills in reading, writing and math. If your skills need improvement, you can attend classes until you have met CRLS requirements.  Credits  are earned as you work with a diploma consultant to describe and verify what you have learned from work, home management, parenthood, or other life experiences. You can also receive credit for previous high school or other courses and for meeting our requirements

ADP graduates earn a CRLS diploma.

Who Is Eligible?

You are eligible for ADP if:

  • You do not have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • You are age 22 or older. (Students under 22 may be admitted if they have a lot of high school credits or enough possible credits from life experience. You should bring your transcript to the intake. If you were in the class of 2003, 2004, or 2005, you must also have passed MCAS.)
  • You are a current Cambridge resident or a former Cambridge public high school student.

If you are not eligible for ADP, you may still be eligible for the Community Learning Center's High School Equivalency Program (GED) or other programs.
