Join us for this terrific film, followed by a post-screening discussion. Based on the true story of Mark O'Brien, a poet/writer and polio survivor since the age of six, who breathes with the use of an iron lung most of each day. Mark (John Hawkes) reaches a point in his adult life where he senses he may be near death, and decides he wants to lose his virginity. After consulting his priest, Father Brendan (William H. Macy), he gets in touch with Cheryl Cohen-Green (Helen Hunt), a professional sex surrogate. The Sessions received numerous accolades, including an Audience Award and a Special Jury Prize for Ensemble Acting at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.
