A Taste of Thai at the Senior Center
An Interactive Cooking Class
Taste of Thai- Featuring Tin Chi, Tricia Stanhope and Geoffrey Kotowski.
A class of 20 seniors started the afternoon by making their own Thai inspired lettuce and spring rolls.
Tricia demonstrated the proper technique to make a spring roll.
The spring rolls featured rice paper, carrots, cilantro, daikon radish, ginger, zucchini, squash, red leaf lettuce and a sweet and spicy chili sauce.
Next, the class watched Tin Chi prepare a Pad Thai dish.
The dish included; egg noodles, bok choy, green onion, cilantro, spouts, picked carrots and diakon radish, chicken and peanut sauce.
The meal ended with a fruited slaw that contained cabbage, cilantro, mandarins, pineapple, carrots, pineapple juice, rice vinegar.
