Healthcare Career Preparation Class

For Aspiring Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides

The Cambridge Community Learning Center is offering a free Healthcare Career Preparation Program beginning September 15, 2014.

The 16-week course is designed for English language learners who wish to prepare for entrance into healthcare training programs for Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, and other entry-level healthcare positions.

Classes will be held on Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Students will increase their spoken English, reading comprehension skills, and math skills; study medical topics and vocabulary; and master basic computer skills. They will also develop career awareness, job readiness, and soft skills such as clear and concise communication and awareness of cultural differences.

This Free 16 Week Course includes:

  • Four mornings a week of classes
  • English and math instruction
  • Health and medical topics and medical vocabulary
  • Career awareness and job readiness
  • Computer Instruction
