Inclusion Policy for Out of School Time Programs

Community Schools

Welcome to the Cambridge Community School Program!

Cambridge Community School programs have been in existence for over forty years serving residents of all ages. Our mission is to work with residents and local institutions to provide services and activities that enhance health, learning, creative expression and the sense of community that makes Cambridge a special place. Our programs are designed to include educational, cultural and recreational programs for residents of all ages. Throughout the year, Cambridge Community Schools provide out of school time programming for children at every public elementary school in Cambridge. We also provide a range of programs for adults, seniors and families to round out the mix of offerings. Our program offerings change on a quarterly basis and are developed to reflect the needs and interests of the children, adults and families that we serve. Helping children and families stay connected to their community is essential, and our staff work to expose them to the people and resources that make our city special.

Each Community School program is staffed by a dedicated professional who works hard to develop programs that meet the needs of the residents of this city. As a division, we pride ourselves on creating a family friendly network of services and are committed to reaching out to our constituents on a consistent basis as we evaluate the mix of services and programs we offer to ensure they are meeting the needs of residents.

As a person who lived in this city over 30 years, I am proud to be part of a municipality that places such emphasis on providing quality care and services to its' residents. I hope your visit to this website today will be informative and stir your interest for a visit to one of our exceptional programs. Community School Directors welcome your visits, your thoughts and your participation in our programs.

Yours truly,

Eileen G. Keegan Bongiorno
