Harrington Community School

Registration Procedures

Registration will take place on Monday, September 11 thru Friday, September 15 from 2:00  –  6:00 p.m. at the Community School office.  You may register in person or drop off your registration form in the Community School Office mailbox.  We will notify you only if a selected class is full.  If you do not hear from us, your child is enrolled in the requested class.

Payment Procedures

Full payment is required at registration. However, we can arrange a payment plan with individuals. Make checks or Money Orders payable to: Harrington Neighborhood Council.

Financial Assistance

Partial scholarships are available to families who qualify.
Please request a Financial Aid application at registration. Income verification is required.
(W2 form for each adult family member is required).

Scholarship Donations

We welcome your contribution to assist us with scholarship for other families. You may sponsor a particular child or program or contribute to our general scholarship funds.

Refunds and Cancellations

Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled, in which case a replacement class may be selected or a full refund will be issued. A full refund will also be given if a class is dropped after the first meeting. Partial refund will be given if a child is no longer able to participate due to medical reasons.

Picking Up Your Child

Our instructors need to leave after their classes end and cannot be responsible for student supervision once their class is dismissed.

Please assist us by picking up your child at the end of his/her class or make other arrangements to have your child picked up on time.

Let us know immediately if you have made a change in your child's schedule or if someone other than yourself or your emergency contact will be picking up your child.
Please call if you are delayed for any reason.

Late Fee

There is late pick up charge of $10.00 for every 15 minutes increment or any fraction past the regular pick up time. We require late fees to be paid within 48 hours.

Early Release Days

Our regular scheduled classes are not held on early release days. A special activity or field trip will be planned for an additional cost. A flyer on Early Release Day Activities will be distributed through the school.

Holidays and Vacations

Enrichment classes are not held on City Holidays, School Vacations, Snow Days, or other days that the Cambridge Public Schools are closed.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to assistant with homework, teach an enrichment class, chaperone on early release day trips, assist with planning and organizing special events, or to volunteer in some other way please call Cris at 617-349-6305.
