The Community School is a part of the Kennedy Neighborhood Council. The Neighborhood Council meets to discuss issues that affect programs for children and adults in the Community School. Also discussed are the Senior Citizens group and their events and trips; activities offered for students during vacation weeks; and activities and events that impact the neighborhood. • Classes do not meet on Early Release Days when enrichment activities and trips are scheduled. Additional fees for Early Release Day events are required. Flyers are distributed in advance to classrooms and children are registered on a first come, first serve basis.

• The regular Community School will not be held during all city holidays, school vacations, snow days and other days when Cambridge Public Schools are closed.
