Cambridge License Commission

WHEN AND HOW TO FILE A COMPLAINT

A formal complaint may be filed with the License Commission against a licensed premise for one of the following: a failure to comply with a license obligation, a criminal act committed on or near the premises, a Hackney (taxi) violation, a noise ordinance violation, or other license related complaints.

Once you file a complaint, your case will be reviewed by an investigator who will attempt to mediate a resolution to the complaint in an effort to produce an amiable conclusion while averting a disciplinary hearing in front of the License Commission. If a resolution cannot be obtained, then a disciplinary hearing may be held in front of the License Commission.

Please fill out the complaint form (PDF format) thoroughly before mailing it back to this office. You must return the complaint form and any attachments before we can act on your complaint. Complaints will be reviewed by the investigator, who will contact you to discuss the matter.
