Teen Snow Shoveling Project

News Image

The Council On Aging and the Office of Workforce Development work together each year to help match local teens who are interested in being hired to shovel with Cambridge seniors and persons with disabilities who need shoveling assistance.

Teens can submit an application listing the neighborhoods where they can shovel, while seniors and persons with disabilities can contact the Cambridge Council On Aging for a list of teens in their neighborhood. From there, the homeowner can contact a teen and negotiate payment and parameters for the shoveling job.

Homeowners pay the teens directly.
Sign up now to help your neighbors and make a little extra cash this winter!

For more information, contact Vincent McCarthy at the Council On Aging at 617-349-6220 or George Hinds in the Office of Workforce Development at 617-349-6268.
