Nominate Your Cambridge Food Hero Today

The Mayor’s Office is seeking nominations for the 2018 Cambridge Food Hero Awards to honor in celebration of National Food Day. A Food Hero could be someone who:

  • Helps promote healthier diets and/or access to healthier food
  • Supports local farms, gardens, or urban agriculture
  • Works to reduce hunger or fights for food justice
  • Supports sustainable agriculture or fishing
  • Fights for better working conditions for food workers or farm workers
  • Nominees can work in the schools, own a business, be a chef, a student, a food writer or educator
  • Nominees can be someone who has done food hero work for years or is just getting started. It can be anyone who helps make food better for all of us!

Let us know who you think should be a Cambridge Food Hero! Submit the name and a few sentences about why your nominee is a “Food Hero,” by clicking here. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, September 24th.
