Compressed Gases and Cryogenic Fluids Permit

caution sign The information on this page may be outdated as it was published 5 years ago.

Individuals or companies looking to apply for a non-flammable compressed gas/cryogenic fluid permit in accordance with 527 CMR 1.12.8.37 can click the following link: Cambridge Online Portal.

Please note the following:

The fee for the permit is $50.  One permit is required per company per building.

The permit can be found on the permit page. (Formally you needed to apply for this permit using the Fire Miscellaneous Permit.)

Under "Seek Permission for (Describe Reason for Permit)" field, please indicate the total gallons you will have on the premises with separate amounts for inside and outside.

When asked for the end date of the permit, please select December 31st.

Once you have applied for the permit, the invoice still needs to be issued.  A few days after applying, go back into the system to pay the fee (or pay it at fire headquarters), and within a few days you should receive an email stating your permit can now be viewed and printed online.  Any questions, contact Lt. Pedro Gonzalez at pgonzalez@cambridgefire.org.
