Mini Grants for Health Eating and Active Living

The Cambridge Public Health Department, through its Cambridge in Motion initiative, is awarding seven $500 mini-grants and three $1,000 mini-grants to support community projects that promote healthy eating and physical activity. The project deadline has been extended to Friday, April 13, 2018.

Organizations eligible for mini-grants include community organizations, businesses, schools, garden and farm programs, and government agencies that serve Cambridge.

“We are pleased to offer mini-grants again this year, including three larger grants," said Dawn Olcott, Manager of Nutrition Program Services for Cambridge Public Health Department.
"Now in its sixth year, the mini-grants have launched numerous inspiring healthy eating and active living activities in Cambridge.”

The 2018 mini-grants are co-funded by the Cambridge Public Health Department and the Whole Foods Market stores in Cambridge and Somerville.

The mini-grants are competitive. Applications will be reviewed by representatives from the Cambridge Public Health Department and other City departments, the Cambridge Food and Fitness Policy Council, Cambridge Health Alliance, and the Healthy Children Task Force.

The application and guidelines are available on the Cambridge Public Health Department website at www.cambridgepublichealth.org.
