Who is Eligible
for a Free Blue Bin?
- Cambridge residents in residential buildings
with 6 units or less. We replace and
recycle broken bins only.
- Non-profit businesses with 5 employees or
less
If you live in a building with 7 units
or more, your building is eligible for
large recycling "toters" on wheels.

How Many Bins Do I
Need? |

Start
with one bin and order additional bins if necessary.
Do not place paper or containers in plastic
bags.
Place paper
together in a paper bag that is on top of or beside
your blue bin. Place rinsed glass,
metal and plastic containers loose
in the bin. Flatten and cut cardboard
to 3ft X 3ft or fold, flatten and stuff in a paper
bag. Do not place paper or containers
in plastic bags.

How Do I Get
a Blue Bin? |

Residents
in buildings with 6 units or less may be pick
up bins between 8:30-5pm at 147 Hampshire or at
the Recycling
Drop-Off Center during open hours:
Tuesday/Thursday 4-7:30pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.
To request a bins delivered to your address (6
units or less) within 1 week, please email
us with the information outlined below:
- Name
- Address
- Zip Code
- Phone Number
- How Many Bins Do You Need?
- Whether you:
- Are a new resident...Welcome!
- Need broken bins replaced... No
problem, we'll replace them.
- Had a bin stolen... Write
your address in black marker on the new bin
and bring it in by 6pm on collection day
- Are recycling so much you need an additional
bin...Great job, thank you
for your efforts!
