  Volunteers
Contact Us   Be a Recycling Neighbor!

Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks throughout the year. Listed below are some areas where we could use your help! Also, if you have a specific project idea that you would like to volunteer on, contact us and make a proposal!

At the Recycling Drop-Off Center…

  • Organize the Book Exchange
  • Help maintain our demonstration compost bins
  • Help residents sort recyclables

At Festivals and Street Fairs…

  • Staff information tables
  • Help monitor our festival recycling efforts
  • Post recycling flyers (and take them down)
  • Talk with vendors and fellow festival goers about recycling

In Your Neighborhood and Around Town…

In the Office…

  • Help out with mailings, phone calls and data entry
  • Research donate and reuse outlets
  • Update master list of recycling haulers

Throughout the years, volunteers have made a significant contribution to our program. Volunteers have helped design our website, assisted with outreach and record keeping of the Cambridge business community and assisted with our recycling participation projects. In fact, volunteers started the Cambridge Recycling Program by staffing the Recycling Drop-Off Center! People like you have made a huge impact on our program, just think what you can do!
