Soil
Remediation |
|

As

soil contamination a concern
for neighbors and the City.
Prior to undertaking this renovation,
the City conducted an extensive
environmental assessment of
the site in cooperation with
the Alewife Neighbors Inc. Four
locations with asbestos contaminated
soil, one location with other
contaminants, and three locations
with asbestos debris were identified.
The contractorremoved and disposed
of the soil at these contaminated
locations in accordance with
the Cambridge Asbestos Ordinance
(the CAO). |
