City of Cambridge Planned Network Outage July 30
The City of Cambridge website, www.cambridgema.gov, will be unavailable from Tuesday, July 30 at 9:30 p.m. until Wednesday, July 31 at 6 a.m. for scheduled maintenance, as part of a project to make the site more resilient to power outages.
During this time, there will be no access to the City’s network. Emails sent from City computers during this period will not be delivered until Wednesday, July 31 at 6 a.m. Incoming email, depending on the sender’s provider, will likely either be held or deemed undeliverable. Any City of Cambridge websites that are not hosted in the cloud will be unreachable.
VOIP phones at CRLS, Library, Lombardi, Electrical and 5 Western will fail over to their local equipment. Incoming calls will receive voice mail or a voice menu if applicable. All City phones will return to normal when the connection is restored.
This should not affect City of Cambridge public wireless internet access.
