Red Yarn Theater
A rising star in the national family music firmament, Red Yarn weaves folk songs and puppetry into his high-energy, interactive shows. Performing alongside his wife "Ms. Jessie," Red Yarn encourages audience interaction: singing, dancing, stomping, clapping, and celebrating the multicultural musical heritage of the United States. With traditional and original songs blending old time, classic rock and indie folk, Red Yarn’s sound is both rooted and modern. As Red and "Ms. Jessie" lead audiences through the Deep Woods of American folklore, they're joined by a rowdy band of "critters" -- handmade animal puppets who provide comic relief and valuable social-emotional lessons. With this show and others on his summer east coast tour, Red Yarn celebrates the release of Born in the Deep Woods.
